First, please create a new thread for each new topic so it is
easy to track the various issues we're discussing!
Here's what I recommend for configuring Pine:
Normal Users:
Use MSC without the hidden config
Power Users:
Use MSC with the hidden config
Super Power Users who are using a remote config:
Use MSC with the hidden config
Super Power Users who are *not* using a remote config:
Use a text editor directly on the pinerc file(s)
IMPORTANT: This is not possible if you are using a remote
config
Note to Beartooth: Since you are using a remote config, you do
not have the last (fourth) option.
