Avoid! Please do not edit any hidden configuration option unless
you understand completely what you are doing.
The best way to change the nickname (or do any configuring) of a
collectionList is to use:
Main > Setup > collectionLists
i.e.:
1. Type MSL
Then do this:
2. Use your arrow key to select the "Mail" collection, which
is the current nickname of your Local collection.
3. Type C to change it.
4. In the Nickname field, type ^K to kill (delete) the current
nickname.
5. In the Nickname field, type:
Local mail directory (only for emergency use)
6. Do NOT change the Server, Path, or View fields because they
are currently working and you don't want to mess them up.
7. Type ^X to exit and save.
8. Quit and restart Pine.
9. Type ML to go to List your collections.
10. Open each collection and make sure that they are working
as you want/expect.
Let me know how it goes,
Nancy
