Sur 23 August 2006, Beartooth e'crit: > Folder-Collection <AVOID (Lserv local for emergencies)> Beartooth, please change the nickname of this collection so it does not contain 'Lserv' e.g., use this as the nickname: AVOID (local for emergencies) Or anything that will help you remember that 1) you should not use this collection much and 2) this collection points to the *local* folders on the machine on which pine is running. IMPORTANT: When you are running pine on one of your desktop systems, this collection will point to the local folders on that desktop system. Please make sure you understand this. After we get this all working on titan, we are going to set up your local systems to use this same remote pinerc, which has always been the ultimate goal of this "mergery" project! >> 10. Do not do that! Remember you should AVOID this collection. From now on, please only use the IMAP collections and do not use the local collection. If you need to use the local collection in an emergency, e.g. if the IMAP server isn't working, just select and open folders. Do not use any power pine things like aggregate commands! I hope this makes sense, Nancy
