I asked you to create a role for each address that you send mail From because: 1] The spam problem has made it difficult to *succussfully* send mail if your MAIL FROM address and your outgoing SMTP server do not match (*). I had you set up each of your roles in a way that the MAIL FROM and the outgoing SMTP server work well together, and mail sent using these roles will be less likely to be blocked by aggressive spam filters. 2] When you send mail using your Pine defaults, rather than a role, there is a chance that you will run into the mismatched MAIL FROM and SMTP problem. Right now things seem to be working fine when you send mail with your Pine defaults, but it's possible that the default settings will NOT work on your other (non-titan) machines or if we make some configuration changes. When/if you have a problem sending mail, it will be very useful to you to have all your roles set up and ready to go! So don't delete them! Does that make sense? Let me know if you have a question, Nancy (*) I'm leaving out a lot of technical details here.
