Hy Dhyani,
I am very sorry for the misunderstanding regarding the horizontal top
navigation widget.
In the future I will be extra careful in making sure we agree on the
results of a script.
While we wait for GForge to be installed, to keep track of all these
issues, here is in substance the expected behaviour of the horizontal
top navigation widget:
- If we are at the root of the site, we have to see what the site admin
"hardwire" in Plone tab section
- If we are in a folder at the second level of the site (like /de/,
etc), we have to see the siblings of that node
- If we are in a folder below the second level (like
/de/races/3100/2004/), we have to see the siblings of the ancestor of
that node who has root as parent (ie, the siblings of /de/)
(I know that the second case could be included in the third; i just
wanted to make it more clear)
Please see here for nomenclature:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_structure
Specifically:
The starting node is called the "root."
* A node is a "parent" of another node if it is one step higher in the
hierarchy and closer to the root node.
* "Sibling" ("brother" or "sister") nodes share the same parent nodes.
* A node that is connected to all lower-level nodes is called an
"ancestor."
I apologise for the waste of time. I really dislike to waste resources.
This is a very good lesson for all of us, especially at the beginning
of a very exciting new cycle.
gratefully
priyadarshan
