Hi Jagrata, Dhyani, Jwalanta, Tejaswi here are my consideration about "this mess of uncoordinated work", as Dhyani put it. 1) Am I wrong, or there is a little tension among developers? If this is the case, please everybody, stop now! What we are doing has a high priority, true, but our foremost priority is harmony. With no harmony we lose everything. 2) The moment we start being impolite, once again please let us stop working, immediately!, and let's relax. We cannot really afford to lose harmony in the developer team. Harmony first! 3) This list is public. Even if it was not, I think our first duty is reciprocal respect. 4) I think all these problems *have* to be coordinated by Jagrata. He is the only one to really understand how this intricate zopestage system is working right now. That's is baby: I tried to have a look at his document on vasudevaservice.com, but that still leaves me helpless in having a more decisive action on the all system. 5) It seems to be that the staging workflow as is now is either misunderstood by everybody, or defective. It seems that some products are not properly installed, or installed in the wrong version. I do not know if this is true, but definitely, from the little that we are allowed to see, zopestage does look different that a local plone installation. 6) Obviously we cannot rely on one person to hold the keys to such things as restarting zopestage, or even zopeprod, exporting products from the depot to the proper area, importing or exporting zesp files. Jagrata now is probably at work. He was unable to return my call. Unfortunately everybody will have to wait his return, this evening west coast time, when it will be too late for European developers. 7) One additional thing is that we are dealing with a migration issue, and this is NOT the typical situation. Quite few more will come in the future. So, this situation is very atypical. I propose that Dhyani fixes the workflow problem (if ever existed) and we wait for Jagrata's detailed, step by step instructions on how to deal with this. Dhyani should write to Jagrata detailing all the problems that has to be fixed, and when he will come back from work he can fix them, and write instructions for all of us on how to proceed. He also has to empower somebody with power to: full ZMI access to zopestage only area (not the mixed stage/prod area) full ZMI access to zopeprod only area full shell access stage product area full shell access production product area Peace, brothers, peace! priyadarshan On Apr 26, 2004, at 10:38 AM, (Dhyani) wrote: > So, the My Preferences/Personal Preferences form is broken!
