De volgende oproep bereikte mij vandaag. Zelf kan ik geen gebruik maken van
het aanbod van deze student, maar allicht heeft een van jullie een
mogelijkheid om hem aan een afstudeerscriptie rond Quality Circles te
helpen.

Dear Mr. Leenders,

My name is Albert Wibowo and I am a 3rd year student at Rotterdam School
of Management, Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam (EUR). I got your contact
address from the EFQM website. At the moment, I am writing my thesis and
stilllooking for companies to work with. My bachelor thesis is about the
implementation of Quality Circle.

"Quality Circle" (QC) is a group of employee or workforce that is talking or
discussing on how to improve business process or product quality. Other
characteristic of the QC is that those workforces are from the same
department. From my experience, companies might name the Quality Circle as
"Knowledge Sharing" or "Intervisie".

My research goal is to make recommendation to the top management in
creating better policy, recognizing and mentoring the middle management by
analysing what kind of role the middle management should play for securing
the success implementation of QC.

Following the goal you could gain several benefits, such as:
-Gain deeper view of the relationship between the supervisors and the QC
subordinates as well as recognize the best practices to achieve the
continuous improvement ability
-The research is conducted under close support by those highly reputed
specialists in the very field, for instance, Prof.dr.ing. Teun Hardjono,
the member of EFQM and Dutch Quality Award, and Prof. dr. ir. Jan Dul.
-the end result will include an estimation of the continuous improvement
abilities that possessed by your current QC groups
-the information obtained from your company will be strictly confidential

The operational tools are including questionnaires to the Quality Circle
members and a 30 minutes interview with their direct supervisors or
managers. The operation plan is scheduled between February - April 2005.

I am still in search for a company in the Netherlands and hope that Gouden
Gids practices Quality Circle. I look forward hearing back from you. Thank
