They have the right to sell the machine code, but not the source code. The fact that some people choose to freely share their source code, and this has blossomed into the open source movement, is a truly wonderful thing, and we all owe a debt of gratitude to those who choose to share. But getting their work for free is a blessing, not a right. Even authors, course developers, instructors and trainers have a right to eat. And that takes precedence over your *imagined* "right" to reuse and redistribute their work as you see fit.
