I have been using Open Office in a live production environment, in a
Windows/Mac user company, on Redhat 7.3/8.0 Slackware 8/9 WindowsNT/2000/XP.
It gets better everyday, and it is currently extremely stable and very quiet
about it's presence to all of my clients on the network.

I have been using it to prove it's value, and it is now my primary Office
application. I manage the IT infrastructure, so I'm comfortable it does the
job well. I've even designed client projects with it. The no-cost aspect
and reliability made a lot of sense and proved itself extremely versatile.

I would advocate it's use in any school environment. It truly is a great
system, that has come of age.

"What is managing your customer service?"

"Code Red, Love Bug, Slammer, Nimda,
Pretty Park, BubbleBoy, Melissa, Code
Red II, MSBlaster, and numerous other
high-profile Microsoft-sponsored incidents...
many view them as "the price of doing
business in the Information Age" and
cheerfully spend (or lose) increasing
amounts of money with each new incident
arising from poorly designed software."
