I actually got approval from the owner of the local outdoor range for my 
"hard drive hunt" proposal.

I don't know where you are, so I don't know how practical a trip to 
Gainesville, FL is.  I don't have a date lined up yet anyway.

I think if I actually go ahead with the hunt, I might be somewhat more 
environmentally friendly and remove as many of the circuit boards as 
possible.
