No, it is not the correct thing to do.  Setting up your mail server to
relay spam zombies is a very incorrect thing to do..  unless you turn on
authentication routing all port 25 traffic to a working mail server
actually negates any of the good you did by blocking port 25 outgoing..
Think about it..  

Apparantly you have a different class of customer than I do..  the
customers I have give me money and they expect me to run things the way
they pay me to.  Apparantly your customers don't pay you or you have no
obligation to them.  

If I were your customer and you tried to tell me that a standard email
client will not work on your ISP my response would be to find another
ISP.  

If I were your customer and you tried to tell me I could only send a
limited number of email messages over time my response would be to find
another ISP.

The way to grow an ISP is NOT to restrict your customers.  When people
give you money for a service you have an obligation to give them the
best service you can and to make it work the way they want it to.  

I am happy for you that you can run your business without regard for
your customers wishes and without worries from the competition, but most
of us do not have those freedoms.  

I am happy you are my competition. I will enjoy the added business.
