I'm running it in a cluster of 5 POP/IMAP servers that each comfortably support about 1000-1200 user sessions during peak usage time, for about 30,000 regular users. Pros: Supports both mbox and Maildir spool formats, easily interoperable with almost any other mail system components you might want to use (i.e. Sendmail, Postfix, or Exim for MTAs, procmail for delivery, etc.). Fast: provides auxiliary indexing for folders so regular mail checks don't have to rescan entire folders. Easy to configure (friendly name=value type config file format, lots of useful options). Very solid and secure. Cons: I can't think of any. I consider this to be the premier POP/IMAP server out there these days. It's so much better than any of the alternatives I'm aware of. _______________________________________________ "Eat sushi frequently". - Avi [email protected] is the human contact address.
