That and the user agent shifting are both pretty weird.  Were there any 
duplicate requests from different user agents?  As someone else mentioned, 
it sounds like it could be someone testing an email harvesting spider.

And it cost them nothing but some time...and your client a bunch of 
bandwidth.

Probably no value there...but if you don't complain, they can't do 
anything for you.  If I were you, I'd ask them for forward your query to 
their customer since they're unlikely to give you any customer info.  If 
they were up to no good, you can expect not to hear from them.
