Thanks for these suggestions, Al.  I'm sorry I didn't get back to you 
earlier. Our client is delaying since the economy is going to heck.  (I 
suppose delaying the work is better than doing the work and delaying 
the payment: some of our clients are doing that too.)

I had hoped to respond after I had some news as to which we'd gone with, 
but obviously that won't happen for a while, so I thought I'd write to 
let you and the list know that your suggestions are quite helpful and 
we're looking into a bunch of them.

I do have one question though: doesn't dreamhoster have a TOS forbidding 
using their sites for just downloads?  I thought they did.
