My XP with EAPS is 99% theory, however, I do believe a switch can be 
running both, so long as the ports running the two protocols never 
intersect. Least, that should be the case, your vendor may think 
differently. The big issue is, what happens if both are running on a 
shared port, and one says 'shut the link down,' and the other says 
'bring the link up.'

As long as they two never meet, you should be able to do it, tread 
carefully.
