Subject: DDOS Protection Services

Hi:

We've been looking into DDOS protection services for selected hosting
customers. We've contacted and had conversations with Verisign,
blockdos.com, blacklotus.com and serverorigin.com to name a few. The
methodolgy ranges from permanently routing network traffic through the
service so baseline stats can be developed and anomalies be quickly
identified to changing DNS records to route traffic through the DDOS service
when an attack happens. Pricing can be anywhere from $300 to $6000/month or
only on occurrence.

Has anyone on this list had experience with DDOS protection services and can
offer some suggestions on how to analyze ones needs and determine which of
these services is any good.

Thanks in advance, Jeff Koch
