You haven't thought much about this? All domains do not get "developed"
(what is developed in your view? a website? there are billions of rubbish web
pages out there already that nobody ever visits and nobody ever will)
And domains are so not even close to anything like mining rights. I probably
admin at least 80 domains that are only used for email, examples are
rossouw.co.za and botes.co.za etc. etc. etc. these clients do not want
websites, in fact tehy do not even want the domain name, they just want
the email address [email protected] and they do not give a hoot
about anything else. The one botes.co.za client runs his business from his
email address only and some of the other botes.co.za clients just have
private email.

Finite rights: what stops piet botes from registering pietbotes.co.za
or even pbotes.co.za or botesfamily.co.za and all the other thousands
of combinations that could provide solutions to all the thousands of botes
people? Then there is still the nom.za namespace and org.za and whatever
future spaces will open up.

So how will botes.co.za ever be developed in your opinion?

I think that I will now stop responding to this thread as there is nothing
for me to learn from it and those that really do need to learn are rather
approaching the thread from a "let me have my say" rather than let
me learn what this is about, perspective. Also, as is usual, everyone
knows everything and everyone has an opinion as well as somehow
being able to even link the registration of generic domain names to
zeitgeist as well as a discussion on the evils of domain squatting.

In parliament, the late minister of communications called me
the worst, baddest and greatest Cyber Squatter in the country.

Of course, she had immunity as you can say anything you like in
Parliament, but her speech was mis informed by people similar to
some of the people on this list, that have dark and mysterious motives
and some like Colin, that just hate co.za (mostly Uniforum and me I suspect)
but these people have nothing to contribute to any discussion on co.za
except to add strife and maybe to contribute to whatever secret agenda.
