Google and SORBS

What does one do when SORBS blacklists google mail servers and mail bounces from adept.co.za, saoutsourcing.com (to name two) and others. Surely there are better ways to deal with spam, than willy nilly believing SORBS. like greylisting for example? What about recipients that wish to whitelist senders? Do ISP's in SA generally just (do the thinking | not think | do what's best for them and not) for their users, or what is the general practice in this regard?
