Sheesh, I've got work to do, dropping everything and going on a big
costing exercise isn't something people can just do in the middle of a
tuesday.

If you're going to make the argument that spam is cheap, you need to
include the full costs of spam, you can't just cherry pick one cost
such as "bandwidth", ignore the others and draw conclusions from that.

Some people are affected by spam more than others. The person who has
no email is obviously not affected, so you can't include them. The
person who constantly uses email all day will be inconvenienced more
than someone who never uses email and uses facebook instead. Someone
who works for an ISP and has to tolerate endless complaints from
customers all day about either the volume of spam they receive or the
volume of legitimate mail that got stopped will be inconvenienced most
of all, and you can expect the most complaints from them.

Regards,
Graham
