I have known her for quite some time and she was either duped into it
unknowingly or someone else may have sent an sms from her phone. I have
submitted a request to WASPA to get this info.

MTN did send me PAIA forms, but this is becoming a matter of principle to
me now.

My real gripe is that MTN doesn't provide a simple and clear method for
accessing this information for pre-paid users.  They should be compelled to
provide this, and I suspect that the sums of money they collect due to this
type of activity are huge.  Consumers are not able to see what happens on
their account, which is illegal as far as I'm concerned.

Thinking about it... this seems to be something that I should bring to the
Consumer Protector.
