Morning all

I know this is a bit off topic, but this is the only place I could think of
to get access to many role players on this issue. Please forward this to
someone in your company if you deem relevant.

A couple of my clients who are wholesalers, are having problems with the
Telkom SAIX's scalable contracts (for diginet services) introduced by SAIX
just over a year ago.

I believe there are about 150 ISPs and MSPs who have signed up with Telkom
for this package and they must all be affected by these unilateral changes
that Telkom is attempting to make to the terms of the contract.

My clients received a mail from Telkom a couple of days ago stating that
they will be increasing the price of these links by 15% as of 1 August
(which will affect ALL contracts i.e. both those already in place, as well
as contracts signed after 1 August. This, in addition to them wanting to
change the minimum line order size to 1MB (which also happened a couple of
months ago and which they finally settled on a 512k miniumum)

I was just wondering how other people are dealing with this same issue, and
if anyone would perhaps be interested in standing together to tackle this
problem with SAIX as in my opinion its both Illegal and anti competitive. I
know there are many smaller companies out there who cant stand up to fight
with Telkom on this either, so perhaps one bigger force might help.

Kind regards
