The reactions here fairly much reflects what I expected. Whether mybroadband.co.za are members of ispa or not, is hardly even relevant at all and yet, this is what we are now talking about. (or whether ispa is helpful, or not - of which my experience are that they are indeed, still non relevant... ) The issues are bullying and privacy. the fact that anonymous bullies can make seemingly personal comments and express opinions on private people (calling them Internet personalities?) and that Google treats same as 'trusted' enough to list it high on search results for many years, this somehow is not as concerning as whether the "news" platform is even ethical or not, etc. ****************************************************************************** Anyway Dominic, for the record: There are THREE Andre Coetzee's.. (on Internet/IT in total I have counted over 176 of us in South Africa ****************************************************************************** please look: @coetzeeandre @andrecoetzee then search for archives on gmane.org - I though, am the only one of the three where my 9 yerar old son's website is listed (http://andre.co.za) I am also one of the two Linux one's, so the comments regarding Linux sysadmins are pointed at me - or the other Andre Coetzee? I am not litigious though, at all, so that is not this Andre Coetzee... one or two of the other comments are also NOT ME! So, now I have to attract/bear ALL the negativity and all the apparent "bad" things of all the Andre Coetzee's? And, Dominic, it is not fair/decent/ethical that mybroadband.co.za publishes this rubbish and still remains trusted by the Internet Community. It is not even close to okay. It is not only unbalanced, but it is also worthless and carries no weight, yet Google.com regards it highly in search results and the reason for that is you. The "ISPA" membership of this "news" website passes 'page rank" (trust) the support all of the Internet community shows this semi "news" website, is what makes it valuable and trusted. So, bottom line from this thread: mybroadband.co.za is an unreliable, untrustworthy non news website with anonymous forums where anyone can anonymously post any rubbish about anyone (or a group of people) I see from a 2009 post that Rudolph Muller, the owner of the domain mybroadband.co.za is called a "coward and a liar" http://www.neuromance.co.za/2009/09/03/rudolph-muller-is-a-liar-and-a-coward/ So, this also explains a lot. I guess I would rather be all the negative things of all three Andre Coetzee's but even in combining all three reputations none of the Andre Coetzee's are called liars (or cowards) btw - If the three of us combine, are we called autobots? what are the things called again? where things combine to form one thing? Why do you all support and love mybroadband.co.za so much? Do you like making obnoxious anonymous comments about random people and completely screw up their lives? I know that some of the 'anonymous' posters are on this list... Come on, stop being cowardly liars and say something :) andre On Fri, 11 Dec 2015 14:48:56 +0200 "Dominic" <[email protected]> wrote: > http://ispa.org.za/membership/list-of-members/?about=531 > <snipped random non relevant things here> > On 11/12/2015 11:23, Andre Coetzee wrote: > > On Fri, 11 Dec 2015 11:01:26 +0200 > > Liam Smit <[email protected]> wrote: > >> I'd never heard of this until now...
