Hi Keith,

to register a "sunrise" .Africa domain, you need a TMCH
(http://www.trademark-clearinghouse.com/) or MVS
(https://mvs.registry.net.za/) registration first.

Also, it is an "end date sunrise" - in other words you will only find
out if you're successful at the end of the sunrise period (2nd of June).

So you have some time.

What happens at the end of the sunrise is that domains are allocated,
contentions resolved according to the rules (TMCH validated trademarks
come first, duplicates of the same priority go to Auction etc.).

Of the people I know who will be supporting Sunrise, are guys like
Lexsynergy, Gandi, Key Systems (so some of their resellers), openSRS (I
think on the enom platform - so some of their resellers), Mark Monitor,
Safenames (and others whom I'm probably doing a dis-services by not
remembering to mention).

I think domains.co.za will do it manually - but I should probably let
Wayne speak on his own behalf.

This has been quite a whirlwind process, with the court action, and the
delay in launch plan approval by ICANN making it quite difficult for
everyone to be on board from day one, but having your sunrise
application in first does not buy you anything in an end date sunrise.

let me know if you don't come right.
