Job Description:
You will administer and maintain Netli¡¦s internal and
external systems and infrastructures. This includes
but is not limited to administration of services such
as  DNS, proxies, routers, e-mail, etc; Internet
access; and network and system security. Other duties
will include maintaining and repairing server
hardware; installing UNIX server and software; remote
troubleshooting server problems; and monitoring
systems security. This role is also responsible for
helping with the design and architecture of our
expanding UNIX server environment.    Documenting
procedures and policy implementation are required job
functions.  This is a very hands-on role.

Requirements:
„X4 plus years as a Unix System Administrator.
„XWAN NOC operations experience in Fortune 1000
company a plus.
„XMust have exceptional understanding of UNIX
operating systems (Linux preferred).
„XUnderstanding of TCP/IP-based routed networks and
routing protocols (RIP, BGP, etc) and IP tools.
„XExperienced with server and networking equipment
configuration and operation.
„XAdministration experience with: DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS;
SMTP, IMAP and Windows a plus.
„XFamiliar with network management frameworks such as
HP OpenView and Net Saint. 
„XAble to write scripts using common UNIX shells and
utilities.
„XDemonstrable experience with security best
practices.
„XKnowledge of network security practices, common
network intrusion methods and detection / avoidance
techniques.
„XExperience implementing and enforcing security
policies.
„XAbility to analyze IP, TCP and UDP protocol dumps.
„XWillingness to work with customers.
„XExcellent communication skills with peers, superiors
and customers.
„XBuild and maintain strong working relationships with
co-workers.
„XBe willing to carry a pager or cell phone and
respond in a 24/7 environment.
„XWillingness to work long hours to achieve goals. 
„XAchievement orientation, technical ability, and
proven ability to learn quickly. 
„XThe ability to have fun while working hard and
motivating/influencing others in a fast-paced
atmosphere.
„XOccasional lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds
