LACNOG 2026 - Call for Presentations

LACNOG, the Latin American and Caribbean Network Operators Group, will 
hold its LACNOG 2026 conference from 19 to 22 October 2026 alongside the 
LACNIC 46 event the city of Mendoza, Argentina.

Two presentation formats will be accepted:

  * Lightning talk: brief, 10-minute presentation (including an
    additional 5-minutes for questions)
  * Full presentation: 20-minute presentation (including an additional
    5-minutes for questions)

LACNOG invites the submission of technical papers and real-world case 
studies on the following topics:

*1. Network Operation and Architecture***

  * IP network design, implementation, and administration
  * Routing and switching protocols
  * Success stories, lessons learned, and operational experiences

*2. Automation and Observability***

  * Network automation, configuration, deployment, and monitoring
  * Telemetry, performance, traceability, and traffic analysis
  * Tool integration (NetDevOps, APIs, CI/CD for networking)

*3. Interconnection and the Internet Ecosystem***

  * Peering, IXPs, interconnection policies, and regional experiences
  * Internet governance, regulation, and legal aspects

*4. Security and Resilience***

  * RPKI, route validation, and securing the global routing system
  * Threat prevention, detection, and mitigation
  * MANRS and best practices in security
  * Incident management and recovery in case of a failure

*5. Services and Applications***

  * DNS, email, web, CDNs, NFV, and cloud services
  * Universal Acceptance and technical challenges of internationalization

*6. Emerging Technologies***

  * Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, Edge/Cloud-native networking
  * Artificial Intelligence in networking

*7. Infrastructure and Transport***

  * Optical networks, DWDM, wireless networks, and access technologies
  * Physical infrastructure and the evolution of transport

*8. Research and Training***

  * Relevant academic projects, measurements, and case studies
  * Technical education, capacity building, and community networks

Proposals for the event will be selected following the calendar below:

  * Reception of proposals: 1^st May to 12 July 2026 at 23:59UTC -3
    (Montevideo time)
  * Evaluation by the Program Committee: 20 June to 30 July 2026
  * Confirmation by selected presenters: 31 July to 5 August 2026
  * Program is published (submitted to LACNIC): 6 to 10 August 2026
  * Deadline for submitting final presentations: 10 August to 27
    September 2026 at 23:59 UTC-3 (Montevideo time)
  * LACNOG2026: 19 - 22 October 2026

Applicants must submit a summary and a draft of the slides for their 
proposed presentation, along with a brief biography, using the form

If your proposal is selected, you authorize LACNOG and LACNIC to publish 
your name, photograph, biography, and final presentation in the event 
program.

The final version of the slides must be submitted exclusively through 
the LACNOG platform, where they must be approved by the Program 
Committee to ensure their proper inclusion in the event program.

Speakers presenting their work at the LACNOG 2026 event will receive a 
certificate acknowledging their participation.

information about the presentation format and other details. These
