There's a dearth of information out there on precisely how to do any of
this.  A lot of the research I did included scanning old NSFNet reports,
NANOG archives, NANOG slide presentation scattered here and there,
Googling on every IX web page I could, etc. etc.  After all of that, I got
much of the technical side, a bit of the business side, and some of the
social/political/psychological aspects of starting an IX.

Of course, each situation is different and YMMV.  We're still grappling
with a few minor things at OttIX. :-)
