I thought it interesting that with release 4.0 KDE introduced a
two-layer architecture for desktop widgets: the UI, corresponding to the
actual widgets, and the data store, which provides the data to the
widgets. It would be pretty neat if Chandler could carve out a niche for
itself here, I don't think there is much available yet in this space.
There could be a unified Chandler data store (either based on the
desktop code or simply interfacing to the Hub), with all the widgets
using it to query and modify the data they need.
