Yes, in fact I'm working on an alternate, very end user oriented view.

I agree, but I also think we should be thinking about how  
www.osafoundation.org and the portal relate to each other.   One view  
is that the content that is currently at www.osafoundation.org is a  
slice of content from the portal.
