AMD64, anyday.
C'mon .. the world is moving away from 32 bit technology and 64 bit
software is already available under GNU/Linux - I am using Debian Pure
64 (Sid) for my desktop - and with half a gig ram, sata HDD and a DVD
*R/W* , it cost less than the top of the line offering with 128 uluvas
of ram and cdrom from intel. Dont' ask me why Intel is still pushing
outdated 32 bit technology in spite of its EM64T architecture beats
me. (waiting for the other monopoly to release its 64 bit viru^W^W^W
ugh ... operating system, perhaps??)

Probably because Acer is first off the block with the Mobile Turion.
Look at the components - what chipset for graphics, wlan, modem,
infrared, bluetooth, etc., and add up. (hint - look for a link called
full specs on some review site - there ARE a few)
Another option is to catch hold of a netinstall cd / knoppix with a
2.6.* kernel and ask the dealer to boot of of display pieces from the
cd. If things are identified - celebrate!!!

Free Software is a misnomer.
You should say `Liberated User'.
