LUGians I am planning to subscribe to the BSNL Data 1 ADSL from this discussion ,I could make out that it works in Linux finely (at least in Fedora) I have some questions 1.Should I buy modem privatly or does the Rent-a -modem from BSNl will meet the requirement 2.If BSNL has an option for Different brand names in modems ,Which 1 should i choose 3.I am having a TATA Indicom phone ,which can be converted into an always on connection with 1 GB limit with 700 a month which is better Data1 or TATA ...I mean..is there any additional expenses in the Data1 Thanks in advance Au-revoir PS-I continued in this thread bcz it is related to DATA1 On 7/24/05, Prakash Jose Kokkatt <[email protected]> wrote: > Mahesh T.
