I am planning to subscribe to the BSNL Data 1 ADSL
from this discussion ,I could make out that it works in Linux
finely (at least in Fedora)
I have some questions
1.Should I buy modem privatly or does the Rent-a -modem from BSNl will
meet the requirement

2.If BSNL has an option for Different brand names in modems ,Which 1
should i choose

3.I am having a TATA Indicom phone ,which can be converted into an
always on connection with 1 GB limit
with 700 a month
which is better Data1 or TATA ...I mean..is there any additional
expenses in the Data1

Thanks in advance
Au-revoir
PS-I continued in this thread bcz it is related to DATA1
