I connect other pc via lan port for testing(preparing for RHCE) and
ofcourse,i need to remove adsl cable...and i dont want to edit
/etc/network/interfaces to assign IP address..everytime...as other
distros can work with static IP too..

In Ubuntu or RHEL4 or Open SUse ,network eth0(with assigned ip)
automatically brought up during boot.lo and eth0 is displayed at start
and after pon 'ppp0' is also displayed...except in sarge where
'ifconfig eth0 up' should be run..

if i uncomment "auto eth0" the eth0 interface is brought up at start
up.And "pon dsl-provider" shows the lo,eth0 and ppp0!.BUT after this i
need to run "route add default ppp0" :( to connect...ie;the ppp0
interfaces is not the default connection....Thank You
