THanks a lot. apt-get install python-gtk2-dev did the job.

Now, my friend has a gprs enabled phone. Nokia 3220. He uses it on his
laptop with Windows XP via a DKU 5 cable. (dku 5 cable is connected to
the USB port). I tried to use that on my debian. I got a software
called gprsec. I don't know what port to give for the phone which is
connected to the usb. There is no autodetection running when i plug it
in.

Has anyone done something like this? The connection is Airtel.

Currently, I netwoked the Xp with my debian and i share the internet
connection. It would be cool if i can show my friends that I can dial
(i put a wager for that actually!!!)
