Dear friends, i may have inadvertantly pressed some button, and i don't know where all the messages went. So this resend. > From Hiran Venugopalan <[email protected]> Sat, Mar 4, 2006 at 12:31 PM > I cannot see the picture. Please try to send pictures in the PNG format and not in > any others. Also the attachemnt document should be in the form of ODT/Oasis > Open Document Format. Can you indicate how i should do these things. Most sadly i am preparing my stuff on a -M- system that also works at sabotaging some capabilities of beautiful ML font that i have. My Linux system is not set up in an acceptable manner for ML fonts. -- i would like to get beyond this stage. There has been no response yet about establishing a "common ML standard" for ourselves so we can just bang away at the keyboard, and viola ! there it is on the other end. For example, this message should have been so transmissible. i can define a keyboard, and a font, if no one else has anything. -- By the way, prestaging even the proposal idea i have put forward, i would like to know that we might have an interest, more importantly an actual ABILITY to say have about 7-servers "within this Linux ML community" ( say one each at the big metros ) and 3 - 4 in KE, all interlinked. Having had this idea, it was suddenly strengthened shall i say by reading H.Venugopalan's e-mail about gentoo, about Stallman etc, and looking up gentoo's sponsors, to see how so many Universities and Companies are helping them out. But we should be able to do all this on our own -- and again, show that we CAN do it. i liked Stallman's explanations. Sincerely, Sankaran.
