Mathrubhumi and  Manorama sites use non-standard fonts.

You have to (a) Install the fonts for Mathrubhumi, and (b) tell the
applicatio to show the text using Mathrubhumi's fonts. It is going to
be right-royal PITA if you are going to use same application to
display both sites, since you will have to go on re-configuring your
application to change the fonts.

Which is why the computing world, including GNU/linux world is moving
over to Unicode encoding ...

IIRC, there is some plugin available for Mozilla, developed by one of
our listers (IIRC), which transcodes the sites into unicode, obviating
the need to have non-standard fonts installed on your system.
