Which? I was just gifted (by myself) a 6.1 MP one from Kodak.

What is the size of the images you are trying to view? I still use a
800Mhz PIII with 256 MB ram, and it is reasonably fast.

Try fbi from the console (the real one - which you ought to get from
alt+ctl+F[1-6].

For others, check output of `apt-cache search view |grep image`
