If it is *based* on Inscript, it is a bug in either

(1) the inscript layout
or
(2) implementation of the inscript layout

If so, we should fix the bug, rather than have another keyboard for the=20
XFree86 project, because key maps are part of XFree86, not KDE. As far=20
as possible, we need to get back our work included in upstream projects.

My question was about non-inscript keyboard layout. Karunakar has=20
pointed out phonetic keyboards at gnowledge site. Anybody looking into=20
them for unicode compliance? Any idea why they were not accepted into=20
XFree86?

Thanks for pointing out the bugs. I was wondering what we were missing=20
in that layout. Can you post a diff? I do not think this will be longer=20
than 15 lines.

Which of XFree86 did you take the layout from?

Console - setxkbmap (parameters).
KDE and GNOME have keyboard switching applets on the taskbar. It is just
a point and click action.

Umm. You meant `... not only a _font_ ...' didn't you?

Rather, political choices. `political' as in ``adopted coz. the proposal =

was made by my chum''.

This leaves me scratching my head. Can you clarify the `rachana=20
strategy' part of it?

I suspect he knows the difference. Also possible that he does not care.

Yes. Just we need to re-educate people that a good, simple script for
malayalam is possible ...

The beauty of digital technology is that we can now do a `??? ???????? ??=
???=20
?????'.
