*Position Overview*

As part of a the Global Consulting team, you will be travelling to our
clients customer sites in many vertical markets, assisting them with all
facets of the software development life cycle from scope
planning/requirements analysis, discovery sessions, technical
implementations as well as product/solution training and workshops.**

You will utilize latest Java and related technologies to build
business-critical solutions to our customers licensing needs, enabling them
to increase the value of their investment with our client.****

It will be expected that you are a dynamic individual, willing to travel up
to 70% of the time (80% of that will be within EMEA) and be able to work
out of the office on our projects of 2 to 20 weeks in duration.  In return,

*Generally:*

**-         **Good understanding of the whole software development
lifecycle (requirements analysis, design, implementation, verification,
maintenance) and ideally some software development processes (classical
waterfall model, Agile, Extreme Programming, …)****

* *

*For the back office development/data migration side:*

**-         **Java development (Java SE and Java EE)****

**-         **Web services development (Java based)****

**-         **A reasonable understanding of XML and related technologies****

**-         **Development environment Eclipse****

**-         **Databases: MS-SQL, Oracle, JDBC****

**-         **Understanding of web application server technologies
(specifically JBoss)****

**-         **Build automation tools: Maven (borderline between nice to
have and must – a general understanding of build automation is important)***

**-         **Understanding of Source control systems (SVN, Subversion)
(rather nice to have but kind of expected at a reasonable level of
professionalism)****

**-         **Additionally knowledge nice to have:****

**·         **Spring framework****

**·         **Hibernate object-relational mapping/persistence framework****

**-         **Programming languages: C/C++, C#, ideally some Visual Basic***
