Halo rekan2 Indoexpat di UK,
Sorry for this OOT (out of topic) posting :)

Boleh minta tolong dong bantu teruskan casting call buat film layar lebar
kita "PIRATES OF THE SOUTH" ke rekan aktor/aktris Indonesia (atau
yang tertarik untuk acting) yang tinggal di UK. Lagi mencari dua karakter
berkebangsaan Indonesia untuk film ini (see below):

   - Aktris utama, LANA (playing age of 16 - 19)
   - Aktris penunjang, KAREN (playing age of 30 - 35)

Mungkin ada yang kenal Indonesian budding actors out there atau tau
mahasiswi yang tertarik untuk casting film ini :) The film is about
underground pirates radio that were rifed in the 90's in London focusing on
the central character of Lana. It's a very powerful drama film, in my
opinion hehe... :)

*"PIRATES OF THE SOUTH" * is an inspiring story of one young woman’s
struggle and determination to use her love of music to turn her life around
against all the odds. This fresh, authentic feature film follows the
central character Lana and her quest to overcome social and domestic
hurdles and become one of the top DJ's in a male dominated scene!


*We are looking for young actors aged 18 and over with a playing age of 16
- 19 for the following roles:*

*Lead Actor "LANA" - Playing age of 16 - 19*
Sixteen-year-old Lana is a stunningly beautiful mixed race young women.
Full of life, she oozes charisma but deep within is a tormented soul after
a history of a tormented childhood. Feisty and confident Lana’s
determination and drive pushes her forward to achieve all the things she
wants.


*We also require mature actors for the following roles:*

KAREN SAUNDERS*" *
Having lost her husband to cancer, mild and timid thirty five year old
Karen, a beautiful Indonesian woman, finds herself trapped in a physically
abusive relationship. Her dreams of a better tomorrow comes through her
daughter Lana who gives her the strength and perseverance to deal with the
daily abuse which inevitably comes her way.

Successful candidates will be notified by the 20th December 2012 with
auditions being held on Saturday, 22nd December 2012 at The Phoenix Artist
Club (Phoenix Theatre, London).
Filming will start in mid-January 2012 in London and surrounding areas.
