Dear all,
We are delighted to tell you to the exciting event we have in Oxford, United Kingdom on the 25th and 26th ofOctober 2014.
Indonesian Scholars International Convention (ISIC) 2014 has been an annual event of the Indonesian Students Association in the UK (Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia di United Kingdom - PPI UK) for the last 13 years. It is the longest-running annual conference about Indonesia in the UK. There will be three main events: the Academic Conference, Debating Competition, and Gala Cultural Night. ISIC is meant as a platform for Indonesian scholars to share their knowledge and to contribute towards the future of Indonesia.
This year’s theme is Rediscovering Indonesia’s Potential: Facing the Challenge of AEC (ASEAN Economic Community). We are particularly hopeful that you can attend our Academic Conference on:
Date : 25th and 26th of October 2014
Time : 08.15 – 16.30 (25th) / 08.15 – 15.45 (26th)
Venue : St Anne’s College
56 Woodstock Rd. Oxford, OX2 6HS
For the Plenary Conference our keynote speakers include:
1. Dr. Dessy Irawaty, FerSa – President of International Association of Indonesian Scientists /Ikatan Ilmuwan Indonesia Internasional (I4)
2. Dr. Intan Syah Ichsan – Honorary Research Fellow at University of Exeter and Chief Operations Officer at Samuel Asset Manajemen
3. Endang S Kurnia – Deputy Director of International Department, Bank Indonesia
4. Okto Sriyono – Principal Business and Network Consultant
5. Wempy Dyocta Koto – CEO of Wardour and Oxford
Also on these dates we will have a Debating Competition among college students from Indonesia and UK.
Last but not least, we hope that you can celebrate with us the beauty of Indonesia in the Gala Cultural Nightthat offers different activities during the day and night of the 25th of October.
