A little kid that I still remember...

Dear members, nearly ten years ago as a routine task after the 
classes I was heading towards my home and as I was about to leave the 
post graduate college premises, I got glimpse that someone was 
chasing me. I did give no attention to it… few moments later I heard 
a very polite, low voice. At first I thought that someone was asking 
for financial help so without turning around I intended to give him 
some coins. The one who was chasing me probably noticed what my 
intentions were thus he instantly replied in the same decent tone "I 
am not a beggar and I did never beg". He replied in such a way that 
my whole body trembled as if my foot had been stuck to a high voltage 
wire… I turned around in a robotic fashion and found a little kid 
hardly five to six years old with smiling face -bare footed -dressed 
in rags - holding a bundle of newspapers. I got shocked and 
replied, "oh little boss I think I have offended you". "No Sir, you 
haven't… I am selling newspapers would you like to purchase a copy", 
he replied in a very well behaved manner. "Why not, little boss" I 
said spontaneously. The little kid smiled and looked at me as if he 
had known to me since long but haven't had a chance to talk with 
me. "Thank you sir", again he replied in a very polite and well-
behaved manner. So I purchased a copy of newspaper and the little kid 
(bare footed, dressed in rags) left that place in the same well-
organized way leaving me behind standstill. A drop of tear emerged 
out of my eyes in order to pay tributes to him. After that, despite 
my trying I did never see him again.
