What people on this list are either not appreciating or not voicing is
the damage done by what passes for India's apex Court, on the Indian
Information Technology Intermediary Guideline Rules 2011.

This is actually a compete victory for the foreign Social media like
Google, Facebook, Twitter etc to get around the Delhi High Court
directions in ongoing proceedings in WP(C)-3672/2012
"K.N.Govindacharya versus UoI & Ors" where they were being royally
rogered by Justice Badr Durrez Ahmed.

This judgement has hardly anything to do with 66-A which was only the
cover and camouflage to render ITIGR-2011 toothless for these foreign
SM platforms who were actively lobbying during Obama's visit.

Anyway lets see how the whole s.79 ITA thing plays out and unfolds.
Its going to be fun since indications now are that only the very cream
are going to be approaching courts under IT Act for redress, and the
battle shifts to the IPC which will be routinely used on a daily basis
and these SM platforms will no longer be able to cite s.79 in their
defence.
