So in effect some of us here on this list are saying you need to be
somebody to be heard at TRAI.

Perhaps the million emails saying the same thing has the power of just a
single opinion.

IMHO this is deeply flawed thinking if even if this is how this business as
usual has worked in the past.

Now that said, the choices are to engage or not engage with TRAI even while
they are not equipped to deal with the volume of messaging generated by us
hoipolloi. ( they need to fix their website/engagement process - not us )

What we hear from savetheinternet.in is a shrill and booming voice of the
voiceless in India coupled with expertize and technical accuracy in their
commentary.

To dismiss the message and attributing motives without actually making
proper counter-arguments ( white washing ) against what is being debated
makes us hoipolloi think a lot less about the competence ( or is it vested
interests ) of those commentators.

Those engaging in personal attacks, mysterious insinuations do lose
legitimacy in the eyes of entrepreneurial/geek community in India.

I don't see how TRAI has much choice here except to engage with the actual
message or lose legitimacy by trying dirty tricks.

Let us agree to disagree here. If Net-Neutrality didn't exist,
Facebook/Google/Twitter wouldn't have survived behind the fragmented walled
gardens controlled by a telecom giants and would have plateau'ed and died
like most VAS players have ( e.g. motricity - which was trying to build the
ultimate walled garden in India as well ).
