I don't understand a lot on the backdoor scene but I believe such a  move
will not allow a new Facebook (not that I cared since I was never on it)

The power of Internet was because you never knew if the other end might be
a dog - and you never cared. Now we will have a jury which may include Anil
Ambani deciding what content goes where and how. The Google and FB still
decide it unless (you don't want it to) but it will get colored by others
who actually don't belong here.

Let there be one Internet.
