Jobs are not going away, their nature is different. A lot of jobs that
were at entry level are definitely going away in all sectors. In fact
20-25 may be on the lower side. In some sectors, job losses are likely
higher. No one hires a 'switchboard operator' anymore.

To take an example of the websites - just using some sort of simple CMS,
or even a blogging software like wordpress means that the folks whose
job was to 'update' disappears - as the author of the content can plug
it in. but there is still a job for the wordpress administrator - a more
skilled job. and one of those administrator can likely manage >10
installation.

I have seen even experienced mid-level technicians being let go - as the
role they occupied are being replaced by (a) much less skilled
technicians (b) much highly skilled engineers.

I'd just say (after reading the Firstpost article), - the bubble has
burst. It'll probably help bring in reality in the picture.
