Hello,

Here's a quick bit of exciting Linux news to start out the morning!

  http://www.cnn.com/TECH/computing/9809/22/linuxlove.idg/

CNN is running this story by an InfoWorld writer. It is a very good
read; probably the best treatment of Linux in the "mainstream" press
I've seen yet.

CNN discusses a database company's plans to distribute Linux with a
product, some problems with industry writers' arguments (such as Jesse
Berst), examples of saving thousands of dollars with Linux, and even a
funny list of things that can be done while waiting for correct Java
support in Internet Explorer.

On another note, our next meeting is October 5. Watch here for an
announcement shortly.
