I am getting conflicting info as to what my troubles are...
Linksys/Cisco + CoxTech1 {at Broadband.com} have told me that my current
cable modem / router was custom built for 'COX' and 'COX' must ''push'' any
form of firmware update to the modem, but it seems that 'COX' decided to
drop support/firmware for this modem/router and wants customers to have to
pay for a single purpose modem and a separate router.... and its built-in
firewall which has a 'black list' as part of its firmware has the site
'feedbooks' on that list, I turn off the built-in firewall I can connect.

So if I must change to two devices (also taking up another wall outlet) what
do you all suggest that I had the best support and up time?  So if 'COX'
tires to replace with 'BRAND-Z' modem should I tell them no I want 'BRAND-X'
due to too many reports of failure with 'BRAND-Z'??

Then what current WiFi router has the best feature vs price?

Or where can I go for a true ''balanced'' comparison of these products?
