At work we have seamless coverage in both plants. I made triangles from 1,
6 & 11. Keep the same channel on opposite sides from each other. Use the
same ssid everywhere. Use the same encryption key and scheme everywhere.
In our plant we have wifi voip phones and you can walk from end to end on
the same phone call and never know when it switched from router to router
and that covers 10 routers!

Topic: SSID & CHANNELS SETTINGS

Cascading two wireless routers due to poor signal in half of my home, the
routers are connected via wired connection:

Router #1 = Cable Modem + Wireless: Linksys WCG200 ver.2 Cable Modem
Router #2 = Wireless: WRTU54G-TM

Object: Be able to carry, Laptop / iPod / Netbook across the house with out
loosing signal!

Before adding second router I would go through a door way to the converted
room (formally a garage) all signal is lost!

So can I use the same SSID setting on both ROUTERS?

But use a Different Channel say 6 & 11?

Will my portable devices automatically change channels with out loss of WiFi
connection??

Currently using two different SSID names and I loose connection and have to
change WiFi connection.

Linksys/Cisco's support web page on the topic and they don't cover the SSID
or Channel settings: http://tinyurl.com/ygyfhpb
