I am one of the tech support reps at Cox. Cox ran a programming update for the modems to increase the speed of the internet. Some modems were unable to process the update. Anyone who had problems, we had them shutdown the router& computers, reprovisioned the modem and boot everything back up. That has worked on all that I have tried. I'm sorry that you talked to someone who didnt know what was going on. We do have some new employees working on the phones. BTW--Cox internet is unable to work with proxy settings --unless you have a proxy server on your end. ~Anne ---- Jeremy <[email protected]> wrote: > David, > I had the same problem with trying to get to www.computer.org.
