Sr. Red Hat Linux/Solaris Engineer Wichita, Kansas Senior UNIX Engineer with 3+ years experience withing a large, complex IT infrastructure. Ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter and committed team player with strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills. This engineer will perform UNIX administration/ engineering in a "build" environment at a data center for high- availability hosted applications. This person should have very senior experience with the following: Solaris experience (Solaris 9/10 experience is a plus) Red Hat Linux versions 5/4/3 (RHCE is a plus) HP-UX (is a plus) Sun Certifications are a plus Veritas suite: NetBackup & Volume Manager Support Cisco Phone Switches (VOIP) Clustering experience is a plus but not a must-have Solid EMC Storage/SAN experience utilizing Clariion or Symmetrix Experience with monitoring tools is desired - such as Big Brother Professional, Netcool, etc. Strong Architecture & Design Experience with scripting (Shell or PERL) Oracle Database support experience is a plus There will be little to no travel for this position.
