In the same way chkd expands the capabilities of your cannon point and shoot, so does tomato firmware expand the capabilities of your linksys router.  It's a replacement for linksys default firmware, expanding the capabilities of the router.  It's based upon HyperWRT.

Tomato Firmware is a free HyperWRT-based, Linux core firmware distribution for mostly Broadcom chipset based wireless routers, most notably the older-model Linksys WRT54G (including the WRT54GL and WRT54GS), Buffalo AirStation, Asus Routers and Netgear's WNR3500L.

Is that image from a Linksys router??  As that is unlike any Linksys router menu that I have seen.
